THOMASLLOYD DELEGATION 2016, PHILIPPINES

THOMASLLOYD DELEGATION takes part in laying the foundations for a second biomass power plant and in the official commissioning of two other solar power plants.

At the beginning of April 2016 an international delegation led by T.U. Michael Sieg, Chairman and CEO of Thomas Lloyd visited the projects that were completed and under construction in the Philippines. As part of the trip, the delegation was involved in laying the foundations for South Negros BioPower, a biomass power plant with a capacity of 25 megawatts (MW) in the south of Negros Island. Both the San Carlos Solar Energy II and III (SaCaSol II and III) solar power plants were also officially commissioned. SaCaSol II and III part of a portfolio of solar power plants financed, implemented and sold in 2015 to the Philippine Investment Alliance for Infrastructure (PINAI) with total capacity of 125 MW, which supplies almost 300,000 people with sustainably generated electricity. The three ceremonies were also attended by a large delegation of European financial experts and equity providers, a large number of high-ranking representatives from Asian politics, business and the media and representatives of project partners as well as institutional investors.

At the beginning of September 2014 a 12 strong delegation led by T.U. Michael Sieg, Chairman and CEO of Thomas Lloyd visited projects in the course of construction as well as WUXI HUAGUANG, the Chinese general contractor for the biomass power plants. The delegation included representatives from IFC, Sargent & Lundy, Bronzeoak, our owner´s engineers Snowy Owl as well as consulting firm ReGreen. The tour included a visit to the factory where the boiler for San Carlos BioPower is currently being made as well as a visit to several power plants completed by WUXI which are already in operation.

T.U. Michael Sieg, Chairman and CEO of the ThomasLloyd Group, joins the business delegation of German Foreign Minister, Guido Westerwelle as part of his trip to South East Asia. The background to the trip was to deepen trade relations between Germany and the Philippines. Germany is the Philippines most important trade partner in the EU. Trade with Germany rose by 20% in 2012 alone. In order to encourage this trend, the Foreign Minister and his delegation and the German Ambassador to the Philippines, Joachim Heidorn, also attended an Economic Round Table of the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Trade (GPCCI).

At the beginning of October 2013 an international delegation led by T.U. Michael Sieg, Chairman and CEO of Thomas Lloyd, visited projects in Asia that are currently in the course of construction as well as existing and future investment locations in South East Asia. As part of the trip, the delegation also attended the ThomasLloyd Investment Symposium and the foundation laying ceremony for the San Carlos Solar Energy I solar power plant on Negros in the Philippines.

The ThomasLloyd roadshow in the USA and Canada offered analysts, sales partners and potential investors an opportunity to see and examine the company's investment locations and projects first hand as well as the partner companies involved and the project management. As part of the 7-day North American trip, visits were also made to numerous completed and future company projects, such as the third largest solar power plant in the world 'Starwood Solar Sault Ste. Marie I, II and III' in Ontario, and SILFAB, one of the leading solar module manufacturers in Canada.

ThomasLloyd delegation visits geothermal power plants and San Carlos Bioenergy

October 2011, Bacolot City – San Carlos City – Dumaguete – Manila

Aspart of the 5-day trip, Thomas Lloyd analysts, sales partners and potential investors visited existing and future company investment locations and projects in South East Asia. A visit was made to San Carlos Bioenergy, the first regenerative combined cycle power plant fuelled by sugar cane in Asia. An impressive field demonstration allowed the delegates to see for themselves that all biomass power plants developed, financed and constructed under the responsibility of ThomasLloyd really are 100% sustainably operated. A visit was also made to one of the largest geothermal power plants in the Philippines in Dumaguete.
