About Us

ThomasLloyd is a leading independent asset manager and impact investor with first-hand experience in managing complex infrastructure projects in high growth and emerging markets across the full project lifecycle. Headquartered in Zurich and with over 250 employees in 16 locations in North America, Europe and Asia, the company has raised over USD 1.7 billion of aggregate capital to date in sustainable infrastructure for a broad range of private and institutional investors around the world.

About the Program

We are looking for a highly motivated graduate interested in ethical and sustainable investments in emerging markets for 2-3 months over summer 2022. Your mission will be to produce a well-researched and annotated report per the requested location or business sector. The final report will cover a number of characteristics of nominated geographies/countries, including economic, political, financial, and environmental aspects, as well as eligibility and sustainability for a ThomasLloyd investment, with the help and supervision of senior members of the investment team.

This is a stand-alone role so you will need to demonstrate the ability to work remotely and independently in a structured and goal-oriented manner. You will report directly to the Managing Directors, which will provide you with a significant exposure to senior infrastructure investment professionals and a steep learning curve.

You will:

  • Liaise with the Infrastructure Investment team, take guidance and direction.
  • Prepare regular updates and presentations on your report.
  • Research and analyse all aspects of given geography.
  • Compare with style, content and presentation of existing impact reports.
  • Prepare statistical analysis/comparison of existing and new countries, where appropriate.

About You

  • You are about to complete an undergraduate degree within disciplines such as Finance, Economics, Politics or Business at a recognised university (on the path to achieve at least a 2:1).
  • A requirement and ability to invest time as an intern for 2-3 months and have a genuine interest in potential future opportunities to join a growing fast paced  impact investing business.
  • You have a proven track record of personal and academic achievements.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, attention to detail.
  • You are flexible and able to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good understanding of project and presentation tools, such as PowerPoint.
  • Pro-active attitude towards the responsibilities assigned.
  • You are a native or fluent English speaker.

 Your Takeaways

  • Great opportunity for recent graduates to advance their career.
  • Network building and unparalleled early exposure to sustainable investment fundamentals.
  • Learn and grow in a challenging environment.
  • Letter of recommendation based on performance.
  • A nominal sum and expenses for completing this internship.
