About the Program
We are looking for a highly motivated graduate interested in ethical and sustainable investments in emerging markets for 2-3 months over summer 2022. Your mission will be to produce a well-researched and annotated report per the requested location or business sector. The final report will cover a number of characteristics of nominated geographies/countries, including economic, political, financial, and environmental aspects, as well as eligibility and sustainability for a ThomasLloyd investment, with the help and supervision of senior members of the investment team.
This is a stand-alone role so you will need to demonstrate the ability to work remotely and independently in a structured and goal-oriented manner. You will report directly to the Managing Directors, which will provide you with a significant exposure to senior infrastructure investment professionals and a steep learning curve.
You will:
- Liaise with the Infrastructure Investment team, take guidance and direction.
- Prepare regular updates and presentations on your report.
- Research and analyse all aspects of given geography.
- Compare with style, content and presentation of existing impact reports.
- Prepare statistical analysis/comparison of existing and new countries, where appropriate.
About You
- You are about to complete an undergraduate degree within disciplines such as Finance, Economics, Politics or Business at a recognised university (on the path to achieve at least a 2:1).
- A requirement and ability to invest time as an intern for 2-3 months and have a genuine interest in potential future opportunities to join a growing fast paced impact investing business.
- You have a proven track record of personal and academic achievements.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, attention to detail.
- You are flexible and able to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good understanding of project and presentation tools, such as PowerPoint.
- Pro-active attitude towards the responsibilities assigned.
- You are a native or fluent English speaker.
