EUROPEAN FDI TO SUPPORT THE EXPANSION OF SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE IN INDIA

The first ThomasLloyd Investment Symposium on Indian soil took place in New Delhi before 120 European members of a ThomasLloyd delegation, as well as representatives of the high commissions and embassies of the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. The symposium was dedicated to the topic of European foreign direct investment to support the current and future expansion of sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy in India. Guest speakers included Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honorable Union Cabinet Minister, Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Government of India, Shri Raj Kumar Singh, Honorable Minister of State Independent Charge of the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Dr Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs, and Amitabh Kant, CEO of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog).
