President officially opens ThomasLloyd solar facility in the Philippines

San Carlos City, 15. Mai 2014. Philippine president, Benigno Aquino III, underlines the significance of the major solar facility financed by European investors for his country: In front of 600 invited international guests that included politicians and economists, San Carlos Solar Energy I (‘SaCaSol I’) was commissioned as the first Philippine solar power facility with a total nominal output of 22 megawatts (MW). The plant on Negros Island supplies up to 50,000 people with sustainably generated electricity.
